Partner Kaja Kallas speaks on monopolies at Competition Authority conference

Our Competition partner Kaja Kallas made a presentation at the Annual Competition Day, a conference organized by the Estonian Competition Authority.

Competition Day 2010 focused on actual competition and antitrust issues, gathering prominent speakers to discuss the problems and challenges of competition legislation in Estonia. Our firm’s partner Kaja Kallas spoke on controlling companies with a dominant influence and discussed amendments and strategic action by the legislator affecting business circles.

Other speakers included an analyst from SEB Bank, the CEO of state owned Eesti Energia (Estonian Energy), Chancellor of Justice Mr Indrek Teder, the Chairman of the Consumers’ Associations, the CEO of Statoil Estonia and other acknowledged professionals. The conference was opened by Minister of Economic Affairs and Communication Mr Juhan Parts and Competition Authority Director Mr Märt Ots.
